Using the 3-way switch, you can toggle through the hybrid humbucker-single-coil sounds the slightly broader P90s offer, which actually happen to strike the happy medium here by offering a touch more transparency than humbuckers would and sounding less thin than some single-coils do. In addition, the GraphTech NuBone string nut, the tune-o-matic bridge and stopbar tailpiece with LockTone technology grace the Wilshire with more than reliable tuning stability, while the Kalamazoo headstock and E-logo on the scratchplate show just how much this modern guitar takes after the original from 1959.
